I went totally mad and went to a Bodymax class on Friday. The usual instructor was on her hols but the stand in was just as good. The tops of my thighs ache like mad now though. I was going to go tonight but by the time we got home from our afternoon out and then walked the dogs, it was past the class start time. Ho hum. I don't start work until late tomorrow morning so I might just pop down the gym early for a class. BTW, the Bodymax class was great. I'd forgotten how much I used to enjoy those classes twice a week. Must get back into them.
SK is back in the gym mood too. He's working out a couple of times a week too, slowly building up to the gym time before our op's.
We found our old photo's while mucking out the shelves the other day and boy oh boy was I so much thinner than I am now. Both of us are back on the whole healthy eating plan now, walking the dogs further and ignoring chocolate. By the time the Rubber Ball comes around in September, I'm hoping to be a stone and a half lighter, and so is SK. Those photo's were such a shock. I didn't realise at the time that I was as slender as that. When we first met I was running 40 miles a week and about a size 12. Sadly an ex husband and chocolate biscuits have taken their toll on my figure.
SK being happy to keep up our gym membership is a bonus. Our gym is great and SK loves the place. Mmmm, a fit Sir is a happy Sir. Mind you, SK is fitter than he's been for years since we've been together. He's got thinner, I've got fatter. Life's a bummer sometimes.
The only snag, that I can see with renewed working out, is that at the mo we are a bit stiff after going to the gym. This means that SK doesn't want to play as his arms ache, and I keep falling asleep in the arm chair. Life is a laugh really.

So after my post about aqua-aerobics and does it actually do anything. I woke on Wednesday morning decidedly stiff. So thanks a_bella_sera for your comment. I know that you are right, I was just feeling that I hadn't really worked in the pool, although I knew deep down that I had.
Yesterday I had a quick swim and left it at that. Oh I had a long sauna and steam too, which was bliss.
Even SK did more exercise than I did, which really makes a change!
Tonight I am off to the gym in a while. A nice gentle cardio session I think, with my iPod.
Wish me luck.
